In short

• Operatr helps venues book photographers and videographers, check them in at the door, collect their work and track payments.
• We only collect what the app needs to do that. No ads, no tracking, no selling your data.
• Each business's information is private to that business. Door staff see only the door list; creators see only their own bookings.
• Card and bank details are handled by Stripe, our payment processor. Operatr never sees or stores them.

Who we are

Operatr ("Operatr", "we", "us") is an app operated by Michael Georgopulos in the United States. This policy explains what information the Operatr iOS app and its related services collect, how it is used, and the choices you have.

Operatr is used by three kinds of people: venue owners who run the account for their business, door staff the owner adds to check people in, and creators (photographers and videographers) who are booked by venues.

What we collect

We collect information you or your venue enter into the app. We do not collect information from your device beyond what is needed to keep you signed in.

• Account: Email address and password (stored only as a secure hash). Why: To create your account and sign you in.
• Business & venues: Business name, venue names and cities, your name and title. Why: To set up and run the venue account.
• Events: Event title, performer, date, media budget, description. Why: To schedule events and coverage.
• Creator roster: Creator names, phone numbers, email addresses, rates and private notes entered by a venue. Why: To book creators and show bookings to the right creator.
• Bookings: Role, call time, agreed rate, payment terms, due dates, deliverables, brief. Why: To manage each booking.
• Door activity: Shoot Pass codes, check-in and check-out times, and who scanned them. Why: To verify creators at the door and show the owner who arrived.
• Payment records: Amounts, dates, payment method (e.g. cash, Zelle, Venmo) and optional reference notes, entered manually by the venue. Why: To track what each creator has been paid.
• Deliveries: Google Drive or Dropbox links a creator submits, and the number of photos and videos in them. Why: To deliver work to the venue for review.
• Creator profile: Name and optional phone number. Why: To identify you to the venues that book you.

Operatr does not collect location, contacts, advertising identifiers, health data or browsing history, and does not use analytics or tracking tools. Operatr never receives full card or bank account numbers; payments made through Operatr are processed by Stripe.

How we use it

• To provide the app's features: accounts, events, bookings, door check-ins, deliveries and payment tracking.
• To show each person only what their role allows (see below).
• To keep the service secure, prevent misuse and fix problems.
• To respond when you contact us.

We do not use your information for advertising, and we do not sell or rent it to anyone.

Who can see what

Inside a business

• Venue owners can see and manage everything in their own business account, including finances.
• Door staff can see only the door list for their business (creator name, role, call time and pass code) and record check-ins. They cannot see rates, payments or other business data.
• Creators can see only bookings a venue has made for them, using the email address the venue entered. They can see the pay, terms and deliverables for their own bookings.

One business can never see another business's venues, events, roster, bookings or payments. These rules are enforced by our database, not only by the app.

Service providers

We use Supabase (hosted in the United States) to store data, run the database and manage sign-in. We use Stripe to process payments between venues and creators and to verify creators' payout accounts (Stripe's own privacy policy applies to the details you give it). We use Twilio to send text messages, such as booking updates and venue access codes, only to people who opted in; reply STOP to any text to opt out. Mobile numbers and text-message consent are never shared with or sold to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes; they are used only to send the messages described here. If delivery-link counting is turned on, Operatr may request basic file information (such as file types and counts) for a link you submit from Google Drive or Dropbox. The app is distributed through Apple's App Store and TestFlight, which are covered by Apple's own privacy policy.

Legal reasons

We may disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety and security of our users or the service.

How we protect it

Data is encrypted in transit, passwords are stored only as secure hashes, and access is limited by role at the database level. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and will notify affected users if required by law.

How long we keep it

We keep your information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account in the app, it is removed immediately. If you ask us to delete it, we delete your personal information within 30 days, except where we must keep it to meet a legal obligation. Removed data may remain in backups for up to 30 more days before it is overwritten.

If a venue removes you from its team or roster, that venue's records about you are removed from the app. Records you create in someone else's business (for example, check-ins you recorded) may remain part of that business's history.

Your choices and rights

You can view and update most of your information in the app, and you can delete your account at any time from inside the app (account menu or Profile → Delete account). You can also ask us to:

• give you a copy of the personal information we hold about you,
• correct information that is wrong,
• delete your account and personal information.

Depending on where you live (for example, California), you may have additional rights under local law. We will not treat you differently for exercising them. To make a request, email us from the address on your account.

Children

Operatr is intended for people 18 and older and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and let you know in the app or by email before the changes take effect.
